VIP TO OUR SOCIETY

Rest Easy

Today, we share in mourning and heartache after hearing of the passing of one of our greatest friends and supporters, not only for our society, but also for the fire service.
Greg Nicholson suddenly passed away this past friday.
Our sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends and of course his very loved Foothills Creamery family.
We cherished every moment we had with Greg and enjoyed his company at all of our ice cream fundraisers and performances. He was always out front near the line greeting people and welcoming them to the ice cream fundraisers, advocating for our mission.
We lost 2 years of fundraising due to covid and he was so very excited to come out and help us at this year's First Responder's Rodeo and the Sherwood Park Highland games and assist us in getting our Fire Station Scoops fundraiser back in service. Greg was a key component in assisting us to develop our ice cream fundraisers since 2017, into what it is today, including sharing in the idea of our community events trailer, Wee MacGregor. This fundraising allowed us to get to where we are today.
We have many fond memories with Greg at meetings, socials, and our events.
Greg, you are going to be missed by so many. We hope you have your favorite bowtie on and are shining bright up there.
With love, your pipes and drums / Fire Station Scoops family.
Rest easy.
