It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of their
dear father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend Alvin,
on March 02, 2022, at the age of 80.
He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his
daughters, Samantha (James) and Cynthia (Jeremy); precious
grandchildren, Arlene, Angel, Becky and Colby; siblings, Claude
(Val), Lorna and Yvette (Larry). He was predeceased by his
beloved wife, Shirley; son, Rodney; parents, Agnes and Arthur;
siblings, Robert, Marlene, Howard and Debbie.
Alvin was an Edmonton Fire Fighter for over 30 years and retired
on December 31, 1995, as the District Chief. Alvin was a man
that was always there to give a helping hand whenever needed
for his family, friends or his community. He enjoyed attending
Air Shows, going camping, water skiing, having family
gatherings with a full plate of food, playing cards and sitting
around the fire with a full drink in hand.
A Celebration of Alvin's Life will be held on Friday, March 25,
2022, at 2:00 pm at Evergreen Funeral Home, 16204 Fort
Road, Edmonton, AB.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Alvin’s memory can be made to the
Diabetes Association.
