What's in our cap badge?
As a Pipes & Drums society established in 2016, we have incorporated the traditional fire service symbols of the fire hydrant, hook and ladder, on the face of the Maltese cross. The Maltese cross is a universal symbol of the fire service.
We have the strap and buckle, which is a celtic symbol of membership to a clan and allegiance to a clan chief or, in our case, our society and the fire service. The strap encircles a maple leaf, a symbol of our country.
Enscribed on the bottom is our motto, Tradition Honour Pride, which is shared with our departments honour guard(est.1987). Featured above our motto is a bagpipe and drum.
