Retired Station Captain Rod MacDonald
What a treat! We had retired Station Captain Rod "Roddy Piper" MacDonald visit us today at the Sherwood Park Highland Gathering. Rod was the solo piper for our service for 30 years.
In recognition of his commitment, time, and sacrifice for his piping service to the fire department and our members, we handed him his plaque for being recognized as an honourary Pipe Major for our society, a band jacket, a numbered Tim MacDonald in memory band flask, with number 2 on it, and of
course a Nashville Fire Pipes and Drums T shirt similar in style to the one Rowdy Roddy Piper wore in WWE.
