Congratulations on your appointments Drum major Adams & Pipe major Badmington.
In June of 2018 the Edmonton Firefighters Pipes & Drums Appointed 2 members to Drum major and Pipe major.
Congratulations goes out to Drum major Michael Adams and Pipe major Matt Badmington as the first members of the Edmonton Firefighters Pipes & Drums to be appointed to those positions.
Michael comes from a marching band background in his grade school days and will undertake a national Drum Major course through the instruction of the R.C.M.P. He is excited to get back to handling the band mace. Including directing and leading the band in parade. Micheal has been a Firefighter for 5 years with E.F.R.S.
Matthew has undertaken the playing of the Bagpipes for 3 years now and is willing to be proficient in the leadership and responsibility of a Pipe Major. Matt has also started competing in Grade 4 solo Bagpipe competitions. Matt has been a firefighter for 6 years with E.F.R.S.
Both are excited to undertake their new roles. We wish them the best of luck and most of all, have fun!!
