March 27, 1936 - February 23, 2021

Dinty passed away peacefully in Cloverdale, B.C. at the age of 84 from Alzheimer's disease. He joined the Edmonton Fire Department in 1958 and retired after 32 years in 1990 as a District Chief. An accomplished athlete, he received the Alberta Achievement Award twice ('81 & '82), the Queen's Silver Jubilee Medal and was inducted into the City of Edmonton Sports Hall of Fame for his handball prowess. He spent hours working in his garden, which was enjoyed by all. Dinty is survived by his loving wife, Norma, his children - Linda (Maurice) Taylor, Wendy (Vern) Beaupre, Gregg (Ralph Guttman) Moor, 4 grandsons - Ryan (Velia) Taylor, Mark (Adriana) Taylor, Shawn and Scott Beaupre, 4 great grandchildren, his sister Gladys Stretch, brother Roy (Pam) Moor, his extended family and many friends. He was pre-deceased by his loving mom, Ida, and brother Chuck. He will be dearly missed by all. We are grateful for the kindness and loving care from the staff at Zion Park Manor. Donations may be made in his name at https://zionparkmanor.com/charitable-giving. Private service to be held.

Rest easy Sir.
