Captain Larry Kryskow passed away December 2, 2021 at the age of 81.

Larry came on November 25, 1968 and retired on July 5, 1997.

It is with heavy hearts and sadness, the family of Larry Kryskow is sorrowed to announce his peaceful parting from us on December 2, 2021; after battling courageously for the last five years.

Larry will be lovingly missed by his wife and best friend of 60 plus years, Steffie; daughters, Geraldine (Geri), Jacqueline (Jackie); son Darrell; and grandson, Michael (Mike) all of Edmonton.

Larry is also survived by his brother, Ron (Val) of Puerto Vallarta; and nephew, Brett of Kelowna.

Larry was predeceased by his father, Mike; and mother, Kathleen.

Larry had humbled pride in being a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. Professionally he served on the Edmonton Fire Department for 28 plus years, while also employing his passion as a part time entrepreneur.

Known to be selfless with his experience, wisdom, and talents to those around him; he was a proud problem solver. His passion for automobiles, iron working, home renovations, and sports, enabled him to utilize his enthusiasm creating innovative and sometimes mind-boggling solutions.

Larry's infectious smirk, humor, and determination were complimented by his trademark toothpick swag, which instantly acquired recognition, admiration, loyal friendships and bonds.

Respecting Larry's wishes, no service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, friends and family who so wish may make memorial donations to the Alberta Chapter of the Canadian Liver Foundation at https://www.liver.ca/how-you-help/alberta/my-community-alberta/ in Larry's honour.

Rest easy sir.
