Dinty came on March 3, 1958 and retired on March 27, 1990 as a District Chief. Dinty passed away on February 23, 2021

Dinty passed away peacefully in Cloverdale, B.C. at the age of 84 from Alzheimer's disease. He joined the Edmonton Fire Department in 1958 and retired after 32 years in 1990 as a District Chief.
