The Edmonton Firefighters Piping and Drumming Society is now selling Toques and Scarves as part of our fundraising initiatives. These funds will continue to support our annual operating costs. 

Dinty passed away peacefully in Cloverdale, B.C. at the age of 84 from Alzheimer's disease. He joined the Edmonton Fire Department in 1958 and retired after 32 years in 1990 as a District Chief.

The custom of wearing a kilt pin came in during Queen Victoria's reign to stop the kilt apron from flapping about too much and accidently showing more of the wearer's anatomy than the Queen liked.
